GRANT PROCEDURES

DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS SERVICES

As the school system strives to secure additional financial resources to meet the diverse needs of all students enrolled in Cecil County Public Schools, the number of grant applications developed and grant awards received has increased substantially. These guidelines and procedures have been issued to assure adherence to established grant management accounting and compliance of Cecil County Public Schools and the Maryland State Department of Education.

These guidelines are designed to:

• Standardize the grant application process;
  
• Give access to documented rules for compliance with grants;
• Provide a clearly delineated set of policies and procedures for the protection of grantees;
• Meet the financial reporting requirements mandated for grants by the Maryland State Department of Education.
