GRANT PROCEDURES MANUAL

DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS SERVICES OBJECTIVES

As the school systems strives to secure additional financial resources to meet the diverse needs of all students enrolled in Cecil County Public Schools, the number of grant applications developed and grant awards received has increased materially. This Manual is issued to assure adherence to established grant management accounting and compliance procedures of Cecil County Public Schools and the Maryland State Department of Education.

This manual is designed to: 

Standardize the grant application process; 

• Give access to documented rules for compliance with grants; 

• Provide a clearly delineated set of policies and procedures for the protection of grantees; 

• Meet the financial reporting requirements mandated for grants by the Maryland State Department of Education

Due to the need to address future revisions in grant management and financial reporting requirements, this manual will be published in notebook format to facilitate future revisions.
